Lexie's grueling schedule begins!

Don't be shocked, but I'm going to post with no pictures! Lexie has started her grueling schedule where they live on the bus and sleep on gymnasium floors. Her schedule for the next little while is:
June 20 Walnut, CA
June 21 Riverside, CA
June 23 Albuquerque, NM
June 24 Glendale, AZ
June 26 Clovis, CA
June 27 Stanford, CA
June 28 Stockton, CA

That rounds out June. Up until this point she has been training an learning the routine for 12 hours a day. Good thing she is young and can take the rigor. She said that the minute she gets back she wants to go to Sizzler for a Malibu Chicken Platter!!!! (I don't even know what they eat on their journey!)

Anyway, July 8th is the closest she gets to us in Ogden. We are all planning on going up to see her.

Right after her performance, Chelsea, Afton, Shayla, Jocelyn, and I are flying to New York City to meet up with Renae, Sam, Lizzy at Jared and Amanda's house. I am so excited I can't even hardly stand it. I have never been to NYC, and am so grateful Millers will allow us to come crowd their little apartment so we can have fun seeing NYC. Yee Haw!!

Corps Encore!!!

Ok I sent this as an email but just in case it doesn't work or what not..................

For those of you who have been asking (and those who weren't) here are the deats on my performance in Ogden http://www.corpsencore.com/ look around there's lots of info to put into your noggin.

I went to a showing of pretty much the 6 best shows of all time (it was.....amazing!) and it gave some little sneak peeks into this years competition. The shows are going to be something *fierce*!! *to be said Tyra style*

My corps is doing Aaron Copeland's "Ballet for Martha". The choreo is fantastic. If you like Martha Graham you'll love this show. And if you think she invented some sort of cracker......uh...well, it will be an educating experience :) Even if you're not really into the whole marching band/drum corps thing these shows are absolutely amazing and very entertaining. :D Everyone's invited!!!

A Thought for the Billings

I had a thought about this blog. I got the Idea from my SIL, whose Family does this. Because some family members read this blog only, we should have everyone in the Billings family post at least once a month on this blog. Just an update or even just pictures. 

Anyway, tell me what you think. We don't have to, it's just a thought.

A little FYI :D

Hey! I just thought I would let everyone know why you're not going to see me during the summer. So no one can say "I didn't know!" :D I made the Santa Clara Vanguard (Woot!), a DCI based in Santa Clara California. (for those who are wondering what a DCI is: It's Drum Corp International aka: a marching band on steriods. There are no woodwinds, just brass, drumline, and guard.) SCV is a world corp (profesional level minus the getting paid part). Their winterguard took first at the World Championships so I get to spin with the best of the best. I'm moving out to California on May 22nd and I will be moving back around August 10th. We travel all over the US on busses and sleep in school gyms. I'm so excited!!
There is a show in Ogden on July 8th, everyones invited!! :D

Baby Logan Tyler Long's blessing day

We just got home from Logan Long's blessing and dinner afterwards.  Lynn Allan blessed Logan in his little white suit.  Lynn did a good job of it.  He couldn't hold Logan because of the surgery on his hand this last week, so he just did a one handed bounce with others in the circle holding the weight of the baby. 

Sylvia doesn't blog so you probably won't get any pictures of the baby because she is the only one that had a camera.  

After the blessing in our ward, Sylvia and Lynn had us all over to their house for Hawaiian Haystacks.  yum yum!!!

It was a nice day for baby Logan and all his relatives that got to come.  

1st Christmas with Grandbabies . . . couldn't be better

What a dolly that Jocelyn Nichole Bott is!!! We can't get enough of her.

Aunt Lexie put baby Afton's hair in a faux-hawk. Aunt Lexie is forming a gang with her nieces. Jocelyn is named lil'B and she's still coming up with a name for Afton.

Baby Jocey loved all her new toys she got. Specially the bows and paper they came in.

Their true personalities . . . . . "what else can I look at and take in and be amazed at" and "just leave me alone so I can sleep . . . . it's exhausting being two weeks old!"

Shayla, Cory, and baby Jocey came over in the afternoon to festivize with us. Jocey looked so cute in her Christmas dress that Auntie Renae bought for Jocey and Afton.

Lexie got 2 penguins to put in her ice cream truck to take to Italy so she can marry an Italian professional soccer player. (We do what we can, as parents, to support any dream she might have!!!!) And really, who wouldn't want to marry that face!!!
