1st Christmas with Grandbabies . . . couldn't be better

What a dolly that Jocelyn Nichole Bott is!!! We can't get enough of her.

Aunt Lexie put baby Afton's hair in a faux-hawk. Aunt Lexie is forming a gang with her nieces. Jocelyn is named lil'B and she's still coming up with a name for Afton.

Baby Jocey loved all her new toys she got. Specially the bows and paper they came in.

Their true personalities . . . . . "what else can I look at and take in and be amazed at" and "just leave me alone so I can sleep . . . . it's exhausting being two weeks old!"

Shayla, Cory, and baby Jocey came over in the afternoon to festivize with us. Jocey looked so cute in her Christmas dress that Auntie Renae bought for Jocey and Afton.

Our cute Tysee getting ready to rumble!

Lexie got 2 penguins to put in her ice cream truck to take to Italy so she can marry an Italian professional soccer player. (We do what we can, as parents, to support any dream she might have!!!!) And really, who wouldn't want to marry that face!!!

Chelsea and Pepino hanging out on Christmas morning. Nobody misses Chelsea like puppy!

Grandpa Gordon holding baby Afton on Christmas morning. We were so glad Tyson, Chelsea and Afton were here with Gordon, Lexie, and me.

Afton is here!!!

I figured I'd post some pictures of baby Afton since Chelsea and Tyson don't have the internet (and blogging probably isn't a big priority right now!!) so here are some pictures from the day Afton was born and the next day. Me and Lex and Jocelyn drove up on monday to visit. My parents were there on the day she was born, and my mom stayed another day. Baby Afton was born on Sunday, December 14 and weighed 5 pounds 10 ounces and was 19 inches. Her full name is Afton Ellavee Hathaway.Tyson keeping Jocelyn entertained in the waiting room so we could go back and see the baby. Chelsea asked me when she saw this picture if I had cut Jocelyn's hair! Ha ha! Not everyone is born with beautiful tresses like Afton! All the girls (minus Jocelyn)

Hystie Sistie

Well I am now a member of what Sylvia calls the Hystie Sistie club. On October 8 I went to American Fork Hospital to have a Hysterectomy. That is something I am definitely glad to have over with. Everything went real well. Dr. Douglas Allen did it and he is such a good doctor. The only problem was that he found out that when I sleep my oxygen level goes way down. So he ordered a sleep apnea test for me. I will go in next Tuesday to a sleep clinic and try to breath like a good little girl through the night so I'm not stuck with this oxygen machine for the rest of my life.

Dr. Allen did send me home with an oxygen machine for me to use every night. The first week I thought I would go completely crazy, but now I am getting a little used to it. I still can't turn it up to level 3 like he told me to cause it feels like a jet engine is taking off up my nose!! So I'm a woos and leave it at 2.5. Not bad for a nose oxygen baby!!!

I have really enjoyed being home for 2 weeks recouperating. I will be sad to go back to work on Monday, October 27. But I really love my job, so once I get there it will be all peachy!!!

Chelse and Tyson got to come down this last weekend for Tyler and Amanda's wedding. It was so fun to have them here. I just love it when they come.

Gordon gave me a Cricut for my birthday, so we had lots of fun playing with that after Sylvia showed us how to use it. She got to spend some time over here on Saturday cause Lynn was gone hunting.

Anyway, I will try to post more often, and learn how to put pictures on!!!

Yay for blogs!!!

Yay . . .a turn on the lap top!!

You will be very shocked to open our blog and find that I have posted something on it. I got the chance to use the lap top because Lexie received an early birthday present (cause she is a big college girl @ UVU starting on Wednesday). We gave her her own lap top computer to use for her college work and homework. So . . . . . that freed up this lap top for me!!! Now if I can just learn how to add pictures and images that would be so fun. I hope she remembers on September 19th that she already received her present!!!! tee hee

New Tag

Hi all,

I decided to start my own tag. There's no rules against that, ,right? The rules are:

1. list one or more pictures of what you look like right now
2. list one or more pictures of what you feel like right now
3. tag 3 people and leave comments for them on their blogs

So, drum roll please... here's my post:

  • What I look like right now (when I walk... not because I'm cute!):
  • What I feel like right now:

That's right, people... ticking time bomb, although it will probably still be awhile!

I tag: Jason, Rachel, and Amanda

Lex's Quilt

Lex came over tonight to work on her quilt. She's a maniac with a sewing machine!! She wasn't here that long and it's already almost done! It's turning out cuter than either of us even thought... so darling, and so Lex! I cut out the strips, but Lexie pieced the whole thing herself pretty much.

Here's a sneak preview to what Lexie's graduation quilt is going to look like when we get it done (which probably won't be before graduation, unless you are a speedy sewer, Lex! Because nothing I do anymore is speedy!) Don't you think it's very "Lex"? I think it's darning! :)

Cranium (Head...Pants...Now!!)

Last night we busted out the classic Cranium, and played it with lex, mom, dad and me and Cory for Family Home Evening. I forgot how fun that game is!!
This is lexie giving herself the heimlich maneuver... I just caught it a little late.
This is mom being a claw-footed tub... or doing wrestle mania... either one
Lexie having hot chocolate AND ice cream with butterscotch... no other comment necessary! ;)
And last but not least, Lexie had to draw an astronaut with her eyes closed, and then after we guessed it, she spent the whole rest of the game improving upon her work of art... I think she wants to marry this guy! Thanks for coming over guys, it was fun!

Kailey's Twilight Character

Kailey is doing a job shadow with me today at work, so of course we did something really productive... here's her twilight character.

Which Twilight novel character are you?

You're Rosalie - Image is important to you, you want to show off your best assets, and you have a lot of them- you think! You are also intelligent, which many people might not expect since you seem to be all about looking pretty. But deep down you're caring person that wants what most people in life desire: to be loved.

Fruits of your labor

I came across this on the Internet while browsing around and thought it was really cool. and funny at the same time........Fun food facts

Here is just a short list of examples of Whole Food Signatures.

A sliced Carrot looks like the human eye. The pupil, iris and radiating lines look just like the human eye...and science shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function of the eyes.

A Tomato has four chambers and is red. The heart is red and has four chambers. All of the research shows tomatoes are indeed pure heart and blood food.

Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart. Each grape looks like a blood cell and all of the research today shows that grapes are also profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

A Walnut looks like a little brain, a left and right hemisphere, upper cerebrums and lower cerebellums. Even the wrinkles or folds are on the nut just like the neo-cortex. We now know that walnuts help develop over 3 dozen neuron-transmitters for brain function.

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function and yes, they look exactly like the human kidneys.

Celery, Bok Choy, Rhubarb and more look just like bones. These foods specifically target bone strength. Bones are 23% sodium and these foods are 23% sodium. If you don't have enough sodium in your diet the body pulls it from the bones, making them weak. These foods replenish the skeletal needs of the body.

Eggplant, Avocado's and Pears target the health and function of the womb and cervix of the female - they look just like these organs. Today's research shows that when a woman eats 1 avocado a week, it balances hormones, sheds unwanted birth weight and prevents cervical cancers. And how profound is this? .... It takes exactly 9 months to grow an avocado from blossom to ripened fruit. There are over 14,000 photolytic chemical constituents of nutrition in each one of these foods (modern science has only studied and named about 141 of them).

Figs are full of seeds and hang in twos when they grow. Figs increase the motility of male sperm and increase the numbers of sperm as well to overcome male sterility.

Sweet Potatoes look like the pancreas and actually balance the glycemic index of diabetics.

Olives assist the health and function of the ovaries.

Grapefruits, Oranges , and other citrus fruits look just like the mammary glands of the female and actually assist the health of the breasts and the movement of lymph in and out of the breasts.

Onions look like body cells. Today's research shows that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells They even produce tears which wash the epithelial layers of the eyes.

Cooking for Two Recipes

Hello all.
Lisa Stephenson (my almost sister-in-law) gave me a subscription for the Cooking for Two Magazine for Christmas. I got my first magazine this week and it's pretty good. So, I decided that I would post a new recipe up on my blog every week. I think I'll try and make them first so I can say if they're good or not, but I don't think I will like some things other people will like so I'll post some I haven't tried yet but look good. So I will do that and then you won't get bored with trying to find something new on my blog ;) And maybe I'll put the names of some others on there so if they sound good you can tell me and I'll post them. Anyway, I just thought it would be nice so if you want new recipes you can go look, but if not, pleh on you :)

Oh, and I can put the nutrition facts up with it if you want
